Our history runs in the family
Since its establishment in 1996 by Luigi Taurasi, Sfoglia Cafe & Patisserie has been Canberra’s number one destination for all lovers of Italian food and culture.
Known simply as ‘Sfoglia’ to its most loyal customers, the establishment was relocated to its current premises at Woolley Street, Dickson in December 1998. At this time, Luigi introduced his nephews Michael Taurasi and Nick Boccuzzo to Sfoglia and the future began to take shape.
The final piece of the puzzle was their cousin Mario Bellofatto, who joined forces with the boys in 2001, bringing with him an abundance of delicious traditional Italian recipes – not to mention a story or two!
Today, the remaining members of ‘la famiglia Sfoglia’ – Mario, Nick and Michael – continue to provide Canberra with a taste of Italy with traditional Italian cakes and sweets, quality coffee, pasta and focaccia and most importantly a warm and friendly place to share your story.
